1. In exchange for the consideration specified in paragraph 2 of this agreement, the NISKU RECREATION CENTRE hereby grants to the Renter the right to use the NISKU RECREATION CENTRE facilities in accord with the conditions set out below:

2. The Renter shall provide the following consideration to the NISKU RECREATION CENTRE: (Subject to change by NRC)

3. The Renter agrees to pay the NISKU RECREATION CENTRE the cost of repairs in case of excessive damage to the NISKU RECREATION CENTRE facility. Any damages incurred will be added to the final invoice.
4. The Renter agrees to indemnify and save harmless, the NISKU RECREATION CENTRE and all of its employees, agents, and or representatives from all actions, suits, claims and demands, costs and damages arising by reason of injury or death to any person or persons, or damage to any property resulting from the use and rental of the hall, conference room, outdoor facilities, or any portion thereof by the Renter.
5. The 5. The Renter is restricted to using the NISKU RECREATION CENTRE for the purpose stated in paragraph 1 of this agreement, and is not permitted to use of the facility for any other purpose without the prior express written consent of the NISKU RECREATION CENTRE.
6. The Renter is precluded from using the NISKU RECREATION CENTRE in any manner that will result in an increase in the rate of insurance or result in a cancellation of any insurance policy.

RULES AND REGULATIONS
of
The Nisku Recreation Centre

- (a) The NISKU RECREATION CENTRE reserves the right to withhold the Holding Deposit even if adequate notice is given if the facility cannot be rented out on the date of the function. If the Deposit is determined to be refundable, no refund will be issued until payment in full is received from the function being held on the same date.
(b) The Holding Deposit must be paid in full at the time of booking the facility. No Deposit, No Guarantee the room will be reserved.
- Gratuities (payable at 17.5% of the entire invoice, but not on GST) will be included on Facility Rent when extra staff is needed to set the room up and tear the room down when it’s requested that it be set in a specific manner.
- The Renter agrees to exclusively use the NISKU RECREATION CENTRE for all Bar Services required. Bar service must end no later than 2:00am and the premises must be vacated by 3:00am. Any Renter that exceeds this time limit will be charged an additional $75.00 per hour.
- The Renter is responsible for all arrangements regarding a DJ or band and all related equipment. In no way will the NISKU RECREATION CENTRE or its representatives be responsible for any equipment or other items belonging to the Renter that are left on the premises.
- The NISKU RECREATION CENTRE will not be responsible for lost or stolen articles of the Renter, its agents, servants, employees, invitees or guests.
- At any event on the NISKU RECREATION CENTRE premises, any direction(s) issued by its employees, agents, or representatives are to be followed. Failure to do so can result in the expulsion of the Renter and his or her agents, servants, employees, invitees or guests from the premises. In the event of expulsion, the Renter shall not be entitled to any form of refund of monies paid for the rental.
- The NISKU RECREATION CENTRE is not responsible for any illness, affliction, or any other type of injury that may arise from the use of outside items that are brought into the NISKU RECREATION CENTRE by the Renter or his or her agents. This applies but is not limited to food and / or drinks prepared by persons other than NISKU RECREATION CENTRE employees.
- It will be the duty of the Renter to designate a specific person as contact or “person in charge of the event”. That person must make himself/herself known to the designated employee, agent, or representative of by the NISKU RECREATION CENTRE at the beginning of the function.
Absolutely no nails, tacks or tape on painted surfaces to be used to hang decorations. The use of confetti is permitted, but is subject to a clean up fee of $150 which must be paid by the Renter and will be included on the final invoice. FINAL HEAD COUNT NUMBERS MUST BE GIVEN 10 WORKING DAYS PRIOR TO THE EVENT / FUNCTION. AT THAT TIME, THE INVOICE MUST BE PAID IN FULL - FOR THE FACILITY RENTAL, FOOD, BEVERAGES, AND ALL OTHER AGREED UPON AMOUNTS PER THE SIGNED CONTRACT.
INVOICED amounts include, but are not limited to:
i. Alcoholic Beverages that will be consumed during the event or function
ii. Late night snacks / lunches which are based on actual number of people present
- The signature of the Renter affixed to the Agreement on page 2 is an acknowledgment of compliance with the rules as stated above. The Nisku Recreation Centre reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. All prices are subject to change until a contract has been signed and a deposit taken.
